I grew up in a small town in central Illinois and attended college at Illinois State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I have painted my entire life, and distinctly remember learning how to paint branches on trees when I was little!

After college, I lived in Chicago and worked at the Art Institute of Chicago for several years, then moved to the Houston, Texas area for about a decade. I’ve been back in Bloomington, Illinois for quite some time now, and work out of a studio in my historic (1913) home.

I live with my two daughters (an older kiddo is away at college), three cats, and my dog. I teach piano lessons and am also in a rock band, playing keys, guitar, and singing some of the most epic rock songs ever with some of my favorite people in the world.
